The More Things Change, The More they Stay the Same

(Yes, this title is a reference to lyrics of a song by a band called Rush.)
Yesterday, I got to spend most of the day with my little sister. Since she is married, I have seen her a lot less, as her and her husband settle down and enjoy their new life together. Recently, she got into a car accident, and was not badly injured, but her car was totaled.

Having her here was a gift. I was so thankful just to be there, in her apartment, with her—even if we were watching movies and not really talking. It reminded me of when she still lived at our house.

She is obvious no longer at the house; things are a changin’, as usual. I want to soak up the time I have with loved ones, and praise God for the change He is bringing about in all of our lives. He has us in the palms of His Hands. ❤
