“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
(John 8:36, NIV)

Psalm 139 finds us, not only seeing beautiful things about ourselves– The Created– but so much more, we see beautiful things about the Creator God, Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:16).
He is a Maker of Wonderful Things– us– (Psalm 139:13-14). The rest of different passages in the Bible describe God as a Carpenter (Mark 6:3), a Potter (Jeremiah 18:1-11), and even a Poet (Ephesians 2:10 uses the word “masterpiece,” which in the Greek is “poema,” the word from where we get the English word, “poem”).

God’s Word (The Bible) says that part of God’s Glory is the beauty He creates (Psalm 19:1, source). God is the Great Author of His Book of our Ordained Days as read in Psalm 139:16, and He is the Author of Faith (Hebrews 12:2). Not to mention, it was His Spirit that inspired the Apostles and Prophets who wrote the Bible itself (2 Peter 1:21)!

Jesus Christ is The Author and Artist, and I am, along with every Believer, a Child of God! This blog serves to express my soul’s song: reflection upon the messy Life He created and His Scripture, as it sinks down into the heart of His Daughter, Annalee!
It is my prayer that, though made by a broken human being, this blog 1) points people to Christ, and 2) points to true, Godly beauty.

Be blessed!

Annalee Hoover is, first and foremost, a daughter of The King (she isn’t referring to Elvis). She is a Christian who loves to write and create beautiful things. She tends to post poems and writings about her trials, her life, and where Jesus meets her in all of it.
In August of 2014, she was led to create a blog that posts prayers, devotional thoughts, and prayer request/news updates for the 276 girls who were kidnapped from their boarding school on April 14th, 2014 from Chibok, Nigeria (known as “The Chibok Girls”). You may visit that blog, here.
